Customer Q&A: Your Most Asked Skincare Questions Answered
Customer Q&A: Your Questions Answered
We receive hundreds of skincare questions from our customers every month. Ana Lucía, our customer experience lead, compiled the most common ones. Here are the answers to your most asked questions.
Q: In what order should I apply my products?
A: The golden rule is thinnest to thickest. Cleanser → toner (if used) → serum → eye cream → moisturizer → facial oil → SPF (morning only). At night, replace SPF with any treatment products like retinol.
Q: Can I use vitamin C and retinol together?
A: Not in the same application. Vitamin C is best in the morning (antioxidant protection), and retinol is best at night (repair and renewal). Using them at different times maximizes benefits and minimizes irritation.
Q: How long until I see results?
A: It depends on the product. Cleansers and moisturizers: immediate comfort. Vitamin C: 4-6 weeks for brightening. Retinol: 8-12 weeks for anti-aging. NAD+ supplements: 2-4 weeks for energy, 8-12 weeks for skin improvements. Consistency is everything.
Q: Do expensive products work better?
A: Not necessarily. What matters is the active ingredients and their concentration. Our products are priced fairly — you're paying for quality ingredients, not marketing budgets. EVA by Marcia ($70) rivals fragrances costing $200+.
Q: Should I change my routine seasonally?
A: Yes. In winter, switch to richer moisturizers and add facial oils. In summer, lighten up and increase SPF. Spring and fall are great times to add active ingredients like retinol when sun exposure is lower.
Q: What if a product causes breakouts?
A: Stop using it immediately. Breakouts from a new product typically appear within 3-5 days. Introduce one product at a time so you can identify the culprit. Contact our customer service — Ana Lucía can help you find a better match for your skin.
